"Through three 30 minute Pilates sessions a week Jen Cutler has improved my posture, reduced my back pain and headaches, and toned my muscles. This probably doesn’t sound all that surprising, but for me it has meant so much more. For the last 3 years I have suffered from Lupus and Fibromyalgia. One of the things it took away was my ability to exercise the way I used to, which was often and pretty intense. If I do that kind of exercise now, I have a severe amount of muscle pain for sometimes more than a week, even when I am feeling good. I also have very stiff joints, and wake up every morning in pain. The instructors at Pure Pilates have used a variety of equipment and modified exercises to adapt to my unique needs. Due to the aging process the pull of gravity and loss of muscle strength have exaggerated a scoliosis making it increasingly difficult for me to stand erect and walk without pain. Whole receiving individual instruction at Pure Pilates I can see and feel a definite improvement in my posture and overall strength. After extended breaks from the exercise there is a noticable loss so I want to continue my exercise at Pure Pilates to maintain and improve what has been achieved. Jean Schmidt - |
